New in 2022 - YouTube demos

I have decided to fully embrace the 31-day challenge this January - Not only are we going to paint 31 wildlife paintings, but I also plan to use this time-pressure, efficiency-demanding challenge to start another goal of mine - producing video!

Last spring I learned video editing to produce my first SkillShare class (linked here) and loved it, but now that I am booked months out with paintings I need to get much faster at producing and editing video if I want to carve out time to release more online classes this year.

SO for the 31-day challenge, I will be posting a video blog series called Time Lapse Talks where I talk about each painting created and upload it to my YouTube channel. It’s a new way to follow along with the challenge and hear what I am thinking during the stages of creating each painting.

Welcome to my Skillshare class!

Achieving smooth underwater scenes is a challenge when using a quick-drying medium like acrylic paint.

Join me and learn how to master blending, create simple yet realistic lighting effects underwater, and apply a few tips to make your main subject fit right in its environment and save a lot of time in your painting.

Whether you are a beginner or advance painter, this class has something for everyone.

For your class project, paint a Pacific white-sided dolphin alongside me or substitute it for your favourite underwater animal. By the end of this class, you will be a blending master!

What People Are Saying

A MUST WATCH! This is an exceptional class! I learned so much from Sarah and have already seen a change in my artwork. I can’t wait for more!

Loved this class!! Sarah is a very engaging teacher and despite some quick moments of issues with camera focus I loved how easy it was to see what she was doing on the canvas. Everything is so clearly presented with concise information, breaking down a complicated project into simple and easy-to-understand steps.

I loved how easy it was to go from a blank canvas to an art piece with a beautiful background and dolphin! What I liked most about this class is that it was easy to do in one sitting, kind of like a Bob Ross video. This isn’t the kind of thing that you’d need to devote huge blocks of time out of your week too. Super enjoyable, and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves marine life, is craving a painting session, and has acrylics + canvas lying around!
